2026 Honda Accord: More Features, Still Affordable

Honda has upgraded its popular Accord for the 2026 model year, focusing on improved value for non-hybrid trims while keeping price increases minimal. The updates include larger touchscreens, wireless smartphone connectivity, and aesthetic enhancements on select models – all for a price bump of just $100 to $155 across the lineup.

Enhanced Tech for Base Models

The entry-level LX and SE trims receive a significant upgrade with a standard 9.0-inch touchscreen display, replacing the previous 7.0-inch unit. Crucially, this new system includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, eliminating the need for cables. A wireless charging pad is also now standard, previously reserved for hybrid models. The SE trim gains 19-inch wheels, matching the look of the hybrid Sport version, providing a more aggressive appearance.

These models continue to be powered by a 192-horsepower turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). These improvements make the base Accord trims more competitive, addressing a common complaint about older base models lacking modern features.

Minor Aesthetic Updates for Hybrids

The hybrid Sport and Sport-L trims receive subtler changes: blacked-out window trim and black exterior badges. The powertrain remains unchanged, utilizing a 204-horsepower combination of a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and electric motors.

Pricing and Availability

The 2026 Honda Accord starts at $29,590 for the LX trim and tops out at $40,645 for the fully-equipped Touring hybrid. The hybrid version is accessible starting at $34,990 for the Sport trim. Honda confirms that 2026 Accords are already arriving at dealerships, meaning consumers can expect to see these updated models on showroom floors soon.

The 2026 Accord represents a strategic move by Honda to maintain affordability while enhancing the features that matter most to buyers. By focusing on the base trims and keeping price increases low, Honda aims to solidify the Accord’s position as a top contender in the competitive mid-size sedan segment.
