The winning entrant will receive the first production unit with the coveted license plate number 001.
The timing of this launch is notable: in January 2026, the Tank 300 led hardcore off-road sales in China with nearly 4,000 units sold, followed by the Beijing BJ40 and BJ40 EREV. Hongqi aims to disrupt this market with an electric alternative.
