Suzuki Finally Approves Rugged Jimny Gozel Kit

3

Four generations. Eight years. The current Jimny isn’t young.
Yet.

It’s still the off-road crowd’s favorite thing.
Suzuki wanted to make sure that stayed true.

So they brought the modified Gozel concept to JimnySunlight in Japan last month. They wanted to see what people thought.

The response wasn’t just positive. It was overwhelming enough for Suzuki to flip the switch.

The Gozel is now greenlit for production.

It started with a game tie-in

You can trace the lines back further than you think.
This styling comes from the Jimny Nomade Monster Hunter: Wilds concept that showed up at the Tokyo Auto Salon in 2024.
Then they worked it over again with the Outdoor Concept.

Partnership matters here.
Suzuki teamed up with AWIN.
If you buy factory accessories for these things. You know AWIN.
They made the kit. They built it to fit.

The changes aren’t subtle.
That’s not really the Jimny brand anyway.

Front end gets heavy attention. An aluminum-style bumper insert sits behind a skid plate that’s got more presence. And red details.
The grille changes to a honeycomb pattern with the Suzuki lettering spelled out across it.
Side skirts and rear bumper get metal-like garnish.
Mud flaps? Red.
Spare wheel cover? Custom.

Who can actually buy this?

Good news if you drive a Sierra or a Nomade.
Bad news if you drive the narrow-body Kei car version.
Those little guys are on the outside looking in.

The kit is officially part of the Suzuki Select Plus accessories banner now.

Price check?
It’s not cheap but it’s not outrageous.

  • Single parts run ¥33,000 to ¥66,002 ($200 to $400).
  • Full five-piece Sierra kit? ¥269,550 ($1,628).
  • Nomade version is slightly higher at ¥275,998 ($1,634) because the side skirts are different sizes.

Installation costs aren’t in there either.

Dealership order books open July 24.

Why pick Gozel?
It looks mean.
It fits right on.
It’s officially Suzuki.

Why settle for plain when the alternative exists?

There are other styles if Gozel isn’t your speed.
The Nomade offers Craggy Style. Rhino Style. Urban Edge. Nostalgic Line. Metal Style.

Japan is getting spoiled with options.
The rest of us have to wait for importers to catch up. Or save our money.
Either way.
The Jimny looks sharper.
