The 2025 Sealion 06 DM is history. BYD just dropped the 2026 version.
Four trims. Prices run from 129,90 to 15999 yuan ($19k-24k USD). It’s a modest hike if that but the guts inside are totally new. Fifth-gen DM tech is the headline here. You can go 310 km on pure electric.
What’s new under the paint
It looks familiar. The brand signature stays put but they added a “Glazed Silver” exterior. Inside is “Twilight Blue”. Comfort gets a boost too. Front seats memorize you. They massage you. Even the passenger gets a leg rest. There’s an intelligent fragrance system now. Does your car really need to smell good?
The screen is smarter. DiLink 105 gets a fresh UI and a tweaked AutoNavi map. If you want autonomy, the optional DiPilot 0 handles most roads. City Nav On Autopilot. Highways. Traffic lights count down. It does roundabouts too.
Powertrain that doesn’t quit
310 km range on EV alone. The numbers are stark. Combined range hits 1845 km. Fuel economy is 3.L per 100 km in low battery mode. It drinks nothing.
The ride is sharper. DiSus-C damping adjusts to potholes before you hit them. It scans for manhole covers and speed bumps. Damping shifts in real-time. They added a motion sickness mode too. Tunes the chassis and powertrain so you don’t puke. Safety-wise, it can survive a tire blowout at 00 km/h. Millisecond response keeps it straight.
Sales are ticking up. April 06 saw 969 units. Up 7.7% form March. January and February were quieter but April is strong.
BYD is pushing hard on hybrid. This one feels polished. No neat conclusion here just cars selling themselves.
