The days of whispering are over. Stellantis is loading up the cannon. They promised 60 new models. Another 50 getting heavy updates. It’s an assault on the showroom floor.
One of those weapons has a badge we all recognize. SRT.
The new Charger Hellcat is real. We saw it. Well, we saw enough to know what it is. A hood scoop that looks like it wants to fight you. A wing big enough to catch wind at a parking lot. And underneath? That familiar scream.
Dodge has confirmed that a new Hellcast is coming.
It’s a supercharged V8. That’s all that matters right now. The power figure? Over 700. Just like the old days. Just like the memory.
The Detroit Free Press caught a glimpse inside Stellantis’ design dome before the sheets came down. Investor day was the stage. They showed a silhouette under a tarp. A big one. Everyone knew who was hiding there.
So, what engine lives in the chest cavity?
It has to be the 6.2-liter beast from the TRX. And the Rumble Bee. Those pickups push out 777 horsepower. Do you think Dodge is shy? No. They want the juice. Probably close to that 777 mark.
Remember the Redeye? The Jailbreak?
Those made 807 horses. Why not again? Nothing has been said about a top-tier variant yet, but silence usually means they are cooking something up. Stellantis’ roadmap stretches into the 2030s. This will come sooner rather than later.
Performance fans need to breathe easier now.
The Hemi isn’t dead. It never was, really, but now the brand admits it. No other V8s have been teased for this sedan yet, though. Maybe next time. For now, we have the Hellcat.
Is that enough to keep you buying?
Probably. Until they tell us exactly when.
